Nile Rodgers & Chic

About

Nile Rodgers is a musical icon — a composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist whose unmistakable groove has shaped generations. Inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, he also serves as Apple Music’s Producer-in-Residence and Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

As co-founder of CHIC, Rodgers redefined the sound of pop, disco, and dance with era-defining anthems like “Le Freak,” the biggest-selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, and “Good Times,” the track that helped launch the hip-hop revolution. His influence extended through the CHIC Organization’s iconic productions including “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge and “I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross.

Rodgers’ production work for global superstars such as David Bowie (“Let’s Dance”), Madonna (“Like a Virgin”), and Duran Duran (“The Reflex”) helped sell over 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, solidifying his status as one of the most prolific hitmakers in music history.

In recent years, Rodgers has continued to expand his creative reach with boundary-breaking collaborations that bridge generations and genres. He co-wrote and performed on “Unforgiven” by global K-pop phenomenon LE SSERAFIM, appeared on “Honey Boy” by Purple Disco Machine and Benjamin Ingrosso (featuring Shenseea), “Just a Dance” with Alfie Templeman, “For Life” with Kygo and Zack Abel, and “Talk to Me” with Damiano David and Tyla.

From CHIC’s dance-floor classics to Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” Beyoncé’s “Cuff It” and “Lévi’s Jeans,” and his latest global hits, Nile Rodgers remains the pulse of modern music — a bridge between the timeless and the cutting edge.
