Northanger Abbey

About

This autumn, we are delighted to bring Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey to the stage, reimagining her sharp, playful satire and  vibrant coming of age story.

At the heart of the story is Catherine Morland, a spirited young reader whose love of Gothic novels sends her imagination into overdrive as she navigates the social whirl of Bath and the mysterious Northanger Abbey.

Expect wit, romance, imagination and A LOT of Gothic drama as Catherine discovers that real life can be every bit as dramatic as the stories she loves!

Our production embraces the spirit of Austen while creating a lively Regency world full of gossip, intrigue, comedy and unexpected surprises. This is an ensemble production, with our company bringing Bath and Northanger Abbey to life around Catherine’s journey.
