Richmond Opera presents Handel's Messiah

About

Richmond Opera presents Handel's celebrated oratorio Messiah in Richmond and Hampton this November

The first performance will take place at 7pm on Saturday 14 November at St Mary Magdalene Church, Richmond, TW9 1SN, followed by a second performance at 7pm on Saturday 28 November at All Saints' Church, Hampton, TW12 3RG.

First performed in Dublin in 1742, Handel's Messiah has become one of the most enduring works in the classical repertoire. Its combination of dramatic solo numbers, powerful choral writing and some of Handel's best-known music — including the iconic "Hallelujah" chorus — has made it a perennial favourite with audiences around the world.

Richmond Opera's performances offer audiences the opportunity to experience this remarkable work in two atmospheric local churches, accompanied by a Baroque orchestra and performed by soloists and chorus.

Tickets are £18, with under-18s tickets available for £9.
