About

Nature is really important for our wellbeing and connecting to nature has been shown to improve mood, reduce feelings of stress, help people to feel more relaxed, improve sleep quality, reduce loneliness and improve confidence and self-esteem. As well as being good for our health and wellbeing, getting out for a walk can be a great way to meet new people and enjoy being outdoors.

Our Local Group offers local short, slow paced, small group walks for people who would like to feel more connected to nature and to enjoy being in the outdoors. During the walks there will be time to look for birds, listen to birdsong, and just enjoy feeling closer to nature. The walks are free to attend and last for about an hour. The walks are suitable for people over the age of 18. We try to find accessible routes with places to rest but please check with us if you have particular needs.
