Tartuffe

About

At the centre is Tartuffe: a smooth-talking fraud who worms his way into a wealthy household by posing as the ultimate moral authority. Orgon, the family patriarch, swallows the act whole—handing over his fortune, promising his daughter’s future, and placing even his wife in danger. What follows is a rapid descent into chaos, packed with sharp confrontations, outrageous behaviour and comedy that lands uncomfortably close to home.

Adapted and directed by Josh Clarke, this lean, fast-paced take on Molière’s classic is unapologetically bold. It preserves the play’s savage wit while pushing the absurd extremes of power, belief and blind loyalty. Expect big laughs with real bite.
