About

The Good, The Bad & The Rugby is the chart-topping weekly podcast that sees England legends James Haskell and Mike Tindall and TV presenter Alex Payne in conversation with some of the biggest names across rugby, as well as the wider sporting and pop-cultural realms. It has attracted a cult following due to its rare ability to draw in both the core rugby fan and a much more mainstream audience.

Such success is due to the connection and chemistry between Alex (Good), James (Bad) and Mike (Rugby). Their relationship allows the guys to unlock and capture the personalities and characters of guests, inside and outside rugby, digging beneath the veneer to unearth real, raw stories. There is no defining an episode, no silly gimmicks; no show is ever the same, and listeners can find...Read More

There is no defining an episode, no silly gimmicks; no show is ever the same, and listeners can find themselves wrapped up in humour, sadness and sometimes, anger. A rollercoaster of emotions slotted into an hour.

Alongside its sister show The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby as well as recently launched shows in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, GBR episodes have been listened to and viewed over 40 million times and over 5 million hours duration; an international pod sensation that thrives on a live stage.

About the authors:

Before GBR, Alex fronted Sky’s rugby union coverage from 2012. He has presented over 20,000 hours of live television, over 200 test matches, five Lions tours and more than 70 England internationals.

As a player, James Haskell played in England, France, New Zealand and Japan and won Premiership, European and Grand Slam titles.  He was man of the series as England won in Australia in 2016, and a Lions tourist to New Zealand in 2017.  Away from the porch, he is author of bestselling books What a Flanker and Ruck Me and a DJ.

Mike Tindall was a key part of the England team that lifted the Rugby World Cup in 2003.  He went on to captain his club and country, and finished as one of the finest players to have worn the white shirt in the professional era.  In retirement, he has raised significant funds for Cure Parkinson, a cause close to his heart.

Together they host the weekly podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby.
