About
Contemporary art gallery, Orleans House Gallery is home to The Richmond Borough Art Collection. A collection that tells the story of the borough through art, paraphernalia, posters, prints and objects. Our relationship with the river, the growth of London westwards and some of the key characters, such as Alexander Pope and Nellie Ionides (without whom we wouldn't have this remarkable hub for art), make for a compelling archive. Recent additions to the collection, through our contemporary programmes, such as Cultural Reforesting and our decolonisation work include Himali Singh-Soin, Bryony Ella and Dzifa Benson. Some of the work can be visited in the Study Gallery at Orleans House, as well as in local libraries, York House and other historic buildings, including Garrick's Temple and Marble Hill House.
