The New Plays Arts Richmond New Plays Festival October 2026 Arts Richmond invited playwrights from across the globe to enter a short play competition. We had 132 entries, and after hours of deliberation, our panel of judges has chosen the four finalists whose plays will be performed at the Orange Tree in Richmond, Surrey, on Sunday 18th October at 3 pm. The Finalists chosen whose plays will be performed at the Orange Tree are 'Cold Coffee' by James David Knapp 'Monster in a Box' by Tony Pipes 'Get Close' by Edward Morgan 'The Wedding Gift' by Kirsten Beazley Please join us for an afternoon of wonderful theatre at the Orange Tree.
