About
The London Heart Starters Campaign is bringing more life-saving defibrillators to the city – in the areas where they are needed most. Despite the progress they have made, research by the Rotary Club of Kew Gardens found that 19 (of 35) defibrillators in Kew are not registered with The Circuit register for emergency services. We have also established that the vast majority of defibrillators are not available 24/7 as they are located within premises with limited opening hours.
Together, we can change this. In a huge boon for the local area, Kew Community Trust has recently installed a new, publicly available, defibrillator on the wall of St Luke's Church. At past training events in April and May, over 250 local residents took time out to learn a new skill to help their fellow neighbour.
Join us on 6 August for your chance to learn how to save a life. The London Ambulance Service will teach you how to do CPR and use a defibrillator to help someone. Training will be provided in short, 15-minute bursts, where you will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and ask questions.
