About

Botanical Pulp! combines creative writing with hands-on papermaking inspired by ideas of growth, renewal and connection to the natural world. Participants will explore writing and reflection alongside the process of creating handmade seed paper that can later be planted and transformed through natural growth.
Suitable for adults and open to all experience levels, the workshop encourages thoughtful experimentation through language, texture and sustainable making processes. Bringing together writing, botanical themes and recycled materials, the session offers a creative space to reflect, make and reconnect with nature through both words and paper.

Tutor Bio:
Ray Vincent-Mills is a Birmingham-based poet, performer, maker and facilitator whose work explores personal experience through poetry, performance and creative experimentation. Writing from both compulsion and curiosity, Ray uses language to reframe experiences in abstract and expressive ways.
Alongside performance and facilitation, Ray has developed work with Apples and Snakes as part of the Words A Stage 2025 development programme for emerging spoken word artists. Through workshops and creative practice, they encourage experimentation, reflection and expressive making across writing and material processes.
