About
Free your voice through calligraphy, mark-making and stitch in this sensory-led creative workshop exploring pattern, rhythm and gesture. Across the sessions, participants will experiment with ink, paper, thread and found tools, using writing, drawing and movement to respond to sight, sound, touch and texture.
Working at both large and small scales, the workshop encourages expressive and intuitive making through calligraphy, textile processes and gestural mark-making. Participants will explore historic writing styles, create marks using a variety of materials, and experiment with stitching into cloth using yarns, ribbons and thread. Through demonstrations, group activities and time for individual exploration, the workshop offers a playful and reflective approach to creative expression.
