About

The inaugural Richmond Cargo Bike Fair is on Sunday 15 June 2025, from 11am to 5pm at Old Deer Park in Richmond.

The Richmond Cargo Bike Fair will be a family-friendly event with activities for children, cycling proficiency and live music and will aim to bring together cargo bike retailers, service and maintenance providers, as well as training and safety experts.

The Fair will be a great opportunity to come together, test out a cargo bike and see if it could be a good fit for you. Cargo bike experts will be on hand on the day to discuss different models of cargo bikes, maintenance services, storage, training and safety tips.

Attendees can also bring along their own bikes for police bike marking or Dr Bike mechanic services. The Barnes Charity Bike Sale will be there to take any unwanted bikes on the day.

Event highlights include:

  • Cargo bike demonstrations and a dedicated test ride area
  • Safety tips and cycle skills workshops
  • Police bike markings
  • Dr Bike mechanic services
  • Exhibitor stalls from local businesses and specialists, and Council teams
  • Cycling proficiency sessions for children
  • Adapted cycles designed for people with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities
  • Speeches and panel discussions
  • Live music performances
  • A food truck offering a variety of options, including vegetarian choices
  • Tennis, volleyball and touch rugby taster sessions
