About
This workshop presents a self-sufficient approach to the acoustic bass, in which rhythm, harmony, and melody are developed simultaneously.
Through conscious listening and precise control of time, participants are guided to understand the instrument as a complete musical structure, capable of sustaining rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic functions independently. The work is driven by musical impulses, sonic intention, and the development of musical feeling. In the harmonic domain, the focus lies on the understanding and execution of low frequencies on the Acoustic bass, examining their structural role in harmonic construction and in the perception of the sonic spectrum.
Techniques and concepts are addressed to articulate these frequencies with clarity, density, and musicality, exploring their application not only on the bass, but also as a transferable foundation for other instruments, expanding musical autonomy and harmonic awareness.
Level: Open to bass players with basic familiarity with the instrument; suitable for beginner to intermediate levels
