About

Surviving the Shitshow of Midlife! Live podcast and a night of laughter about navigating the hard stuff life throws at you.

Join Helen Thorn, bestselling author and one half of the comedy duo Scummy Mummies, and a panel of wise funny women to chat about how to get through the shitshow of midlife. They will shared personal stories about surviving cancer, getting through Menopausal Hell, overcoming divorce and separation, dealing with teenage tantrums and all the other glamourous things midlife throws at us.

Helen has been through a lot of shit in the last six years! Divorce, grief, financial stress, a breakdown, dodgy dating, peri-menopausal hell, moody teens, family ruptures, a massive tree falling on her house, excessive flatulence, and a raging infection that made her eye look like a front bottom! She didn't just survive it all. She laced up her trainers, and ran straight through it, and came out the other side stronger, funnier and happier than ever, with marathons under her belt, a community of women cheering her on, and a whole new chapter to show for it.

Expect lots of laughs, wise words and some calming advice. You'll leave feeling like you're not alone.

Time: 1 hour chat and Q and A, plus booking signing and meet and greet at the end.

Helen will be signing copies of her books – "Get Divorced, Be Happy" and "How to Face Big Change".

Guest Speakers:

Karen Arthur Author, broadcaster and menopause diversity campaigner
Emma Campbell Author, speaker and podcast host
Dr Rachel Master Clinical Psychologist
