Come and experience the colour, creativity and traditions of a Japanese Matsuri at ETNA Community Centre.

Join us for a fun, family-friendly afternoon celebrating Japanese festivals and culture, with hands-on activities, traditional crafts, games and dance.

There will be lots to try, including origami, Oinari-san wrapping, super-ball scooping, badge making, a quiz about Japan and Bon Odori dancing.

Whether you already have an interest in Japan or would simply like to discover something new, come along, have a go and enjoy the afternoon with us.

Activities include:

Oinari-san wrapping – try making traditional inari sushi
Origami – learn the Japanese art of paper folding
Super-ball scoop – have a go at a traditional Japanese festival game
Quiz about Japan – test your knowledge and discover some new facts
Bon Odori Dance – join in with a traditional Japanese festival dance
Badge Making – create your own Japanese-inspired badge to take home
