Joni's Soul

About

Joni's Soul began as a collaboration between celebrated ‘from-the-heart’ singer Gina Foster (Eric Clapton, Sinead O'Connor, George Duke) and top-class guitarist Ronnie Johnson (Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker), attracting some of the UK's finest players with a shared love for the musician they consider perhaps the greatest singer/songwriter of the last half century.

Coyote, Hejira, Edith and the Kingpin, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, A Case of You, Trouble Child, Help Me and Gina Foster’s gorgeous version of Both Sides Now – it’s through songs like these that the band explore the unique song writing and gift of performance Joni Mitchell revealed in her iconic albums Blue, Court and Spark, Hejira, The Hissing of Summer Lawns and beyond.

Performers: Gina Foster - vocals Ronnie Johnson - guitars Patrick Johnson - guitars Cody Moss - piano Steve Pearce - bass Geoff Dunn - drums
