About our host Julie Wong:

Julie Wong is a qualified accountant and business growth mentor who helps business owners understand the story their numbers tell and use it to build a business that supports their ambitions.

With over 30 years’ experience across FTSE-listed companies, SMEs and start-ups, Julie combines financial expertise with a practical understanding of how businesses work.

Her experience includes one-to-one financial mentoring for creative businesses through the British Library’s Get Ready for Business Growth scale-up programme, Selby Trust and other council-funded programmes. She was also commissioned to create a series of finance webinars for children’s authors.

She connects finance with marketing, operations and planning, helping artists, freelancers and creative businesses make sense of the business behind their creative work, from establishing sound foundations to improving profitability and planning for growth.

Julie is known for bringing her energy in an engaging, supportive and relatable approach to her workshops, using practical exercises and relevant examples to help participants apply the learning to their own businesses.

Whether you are starting out or running an established business, her aim is to help you build financial confidence and identify practical next steps to run your business with greater clarity.
