Musical Roots in Richmond Park

About

Come and join us at our annual Musical Roots evening at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park where you can enjoy jazz, blues and boogie-woogie from highly professional musicians as well as a sit down supper and wine. The evening will commence with a welcome drink on the Belvedere Terrace with its spectacular views over the Thames Valley. This will be followed by around two hours of live entertainment from a team of outstanding renowned jazz and blues musicians. Headlining the event will be the inimitable singer and pianist Dana Gillespie with her usual sharp wit, highly entertaining stories and glamour. Dana, who has worked with many stars including David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Jimmy Page, will be joined by other stars including Dino Baptiste and The John Bayley trio. You will be provided with a buffet supper plus wine in the interval and there will also be the usual raffle with its high-end prizes all contributed by local enterprises. Parking is free with Richmond Park main gates being held open especially for the occasion. All proceeds will go to the Holly Lodge Centre, which is a local charity located in a Victorian house in the middle of Richmond Park providing immersive experiences of nature and local history specialising in working with children and adults with special needs. The charity receives no Government funding thus relies on events such as these as well as donations to keep it up and running. The event is always a sell-out.
