About

Twickenham Choral Concert
Nocturnes: American and British Choral Music

Twickenham Choral will perform at St Mary's Church on 5th July - their first concert in this beautiful building since the arrival in September 2024 of new Musical Director and Conductor Howard Ionascu.

In anticipation of a delightful summer's evening, the choir presents a fabulous programme of music from both sides of the Atlantic. Nocturnes will feature works by Eric Whitacre (Oculi Omnium), William Harris (Faire is the Heaven), Charles Wood (Hail, Gladdening Light), Morten Lauridsen (Nocturnes) and Patrick Hawes (Quanta Qualia) among others. The brilliant pianist Nick Salwey will accompany many of the performances throughout the concert.

Twickenham Choral is delighted to welcome the wonderful soprano soloist Emma Tring who will sing works by Jonathan Dove and the Twickenham-born and raised composer Roxanna Panufnik.

Refreshments will be available in the garden, weather permitting, following the concert to round off what promises to be a glorious July evening.

Further details and tickets are available on the choir's website - https://twickenhamchoral.org.uk/events/
