About

Join us for an evening of intimate and expressive jazz featuring pianist Tomasz Zyrmont and double bassist Ben Hazleton.

Tomasz Zyrmont is a London-based pianist and composer who has performed at prestigious events including the London Jazz Festival, Yamaha Music Live, Wigmore Lates, and the Jazz FM Discovery Show. He has appeared at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The 606 Club, Boisdale, Canary Wharf, and the Houses of Parliament. As a bandleader, he has released three albums of original music, gaining recognition from radio stations and jazz promoters. His latest release, London Manifest, recorded with his quartet, received strong reviews across jazz media in Poland.

Ben Hazleton has been performing professionally in the UK and internationally for over 25 years. Based in London, he is a well-established and highly regarded double bassist, regularly appearing at leading venues including Ronnie Scott’s, The 606 Club, The Jazz Café, and PizzaExpress. His career spans festivals, major stages, and international touring. Highlights include collaborations with Roots Manuva and tabla maestro Talvin Singh, as well as performances at the Royal Festival Hall. He is also known for blending Eastern and Western musical traditions.

Having collaborated in a variety of settings - including performances at The 606 Club and appearances at the London Jazz Festival - Zyrmont and Hazleton share a strong musical rapport. Their performances at the Bulls Head have been particularly well received, and they are also scheduled to perform in Poland this May with Zyrmont’s quartet.

For this special performance, they will present a refined acoustic duet set, combining timeless jazz standards with original compositions from London Manifest album, offering a fresh, lyrical, and engaging musical experience.
