About

This autumn, set off on an outdoor adventure inspired by Zog, the bestselling children's book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

Taking place across the beautiful autumnal landscape of Kew Gardens, this interactive trail invites families to explore the story’s themes of perseverance, friendship, and teamwork while making muddy memories and embracing the elements.

Children will follow a series of five themed activities hidden amongst the trees, based on key moments of dragon school from the book - learning to fly, roar, breathe fire, and more - brought to life through fun challenges, sensory elements, and interactive games designed to ignite curiosity and encourage discovery.

The journey begins with a special welcome moment featuring a child-size carved wooden sculpture of Zog and ends with a life-sized scene from the book where families can capture their own magical memory. Don’t forget to pick up an activity guide to discover your inner dragon and keep the adventure going at home.

Perfect for young explorers and story lovers alike, this outdoor trail offers a fresh way to experience nature through the lens of a beloved children’s classic.
