We are Hagen: A Danish coffee brand born in Copenhagen. Our roots are firmly grounded in the values and traditions of our homeland, Denmark.

While it may be one of the smallest counties in the world, the Danish influence reaches far beyond its borders. For centuries, the Danes have travelled the globe in search of inspiring food, designs, and culture – and we at Hagen live this ethos.

We set out to deliver Danish speciality coffee sustainably. Much like a Danish fairy tale; we travel far and wide across the world’s coffee regions, returning with a fresh perspective on exceptional craft and coffee experiences – or as we like to serve it, kaffe. 

Like the Danes of old, we believe in doing things properly. We may not be able to grow our own coffee, but we seek out the best beans, refine every process, and serve each cup with care and precision. This commitment to excellence is our DNA.

 

Our Story

Hagen began with a simple yet bold idea: to deliver the world’s best coffee in the world’s best espresso bars. Our name and logo reflect the very nature of Danish adventure – harbouring the best coffee through modern design.

Much like our Viking ancestors, we bring the best elements together, drawing inspiration from past and present. This blend of heritage and innovation can be felt in our espresso bars; from the Danish furniture, to our simple details (i.e. the ‘g’ in our logo honours the traditional Danish street signs). 

 

The Hagen Experience

At Hagen, coffee is more than a drink; it’s a Danish Kaffe experience. It starts with coffee expertise; the grind, the temperature, the balance, the serve. Each element designed to harmonise. And yet, a Danish Kaffe experience also calls for a serene space in which to enjoy your coffee. Our espresso bars have been designed with meaningful details; each bar inspired by a different nuance of Danish culture, with all our interiors defined by the timeless elegance of iconic Danish design. This is the Hagen experience – brought to life in all our locations.
