About
Hi, I’m Stephen. My tours are personal - you will not be sharing with anyone else. I will be your driver and guide for the day - I will collect you in our luxury Land Rover Defender 130 - Britain’s answer to the Chevy Suburban. I am an antiques dealer and will share my knowledge with you as we tour the market
I am new to GetYourGuide so I don’t have many reviews but I've been a guide for many years. You won’t be disappointed!
Begin your day with a pickup from your London hotel, any London airport, cruise terminal or other location by agreement. Head to the Sunbury Antiques Market, one of Europe’s largest markets, featuring over 700 stalls. Sunbury is known as 'the dealers market' as it where London's antique dealers,. interior designers and movie prop buyers get their stock. Much of what you see is 'fresh to market', drawn from Britain's deep heritage. The market starts early at 6.00 am. I can get you there at that time if you want but 8.00 am is perfectly acceptable.
Arrive at the market and enjoy a fascinating insight into the antiques trade. Meet eccentric dealers, barter for the bizarre, and possibly spot a celebrity. As a seasoned antiques dealer, I can show you around the market or simply point you in the right direction for what you want to buy. The range is huge - art, jewlry, furniture, gold & silver and many fascinating objects. Get advice on purchases and help with negotiations. If you need items shipped home, your guide can arrange this for you.
In the afternoon, enjoy lunch and a half-day tour of one of London’s prettiest boroughs, Richmond upon Thames. Sometimes known as ‘Rockstars upon Thames’ because of the number of stars that live or have lived there, including Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall, Pete Townshend of The Who, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Tom Hardy, and Richard E Grant. The Rolling Stones played their first gig here in 1963 at The Crawdaddy Club.
Much of Ted Lasso was filmed in Richmond, and you can visit the famous locations, including the beautiful Richmond Green with some of the most expensive real estate in London.
Founded by Henry VII in 1501 when he built Richmond Palace, this beautiful town on the River Thames features fascinating alleyways of shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as a wealth of history. Richmond Green offers some of the most expensive houses in London.
Richmond Park, originally King Charles I's private deer hunting park in the 1500s, now features herds of wild red deer - we'll take a slow drive through the park on our way back to your hotel.
