Landmark Arts Centre

Workshop/Course, Tue 27 - Thu 29 Jul 2021

In light of COVID-19, please make sure you check with your travel and accommodation providers before travelling.

This course will explore painting landscapes and buildings whilst allowing you to experiment with watercolours, mixed media such as pen, inks and pastels.

Reference images will be available and weather permitting some outdoor sketching will also be scheduled. The theme of the workshop is the art and style of John Piper, a British painter of architecture, landscapes and abstract compositions. Art historical reference of John Piper’s exciting work will be shown in the form of a slide projection.

Expert tuition is provided by our tutor Bob Meecham through demonstration and practice. John Piper’s work can be seen at Tate Britain.
