In just 4 weeks you’ll advance from beginner to improver with enhanced sewing skills.

 

What you will learn, how to:

– read and use a pattern

– assemble and insert piping

– insert zips

– use fusible fleece & interfacing

– add lining

Sew a piped cushion cover with invisible zip and a lined bag with zip pockets

 

What we provide:

Small group, friendly studio with experienced tutors to help you through each step. Sewing machines and all tools, a pattern, cushion insert, piping cord and tea & coffee and notes to take home.

 

What you will need to bring:

For the cushion:

-half a metre of non directional fabric in a medium weight cotton or quilting cotton.

– an 18 inch invisible zip

– 2m of 2.5 cm bias binding in contrast / coordinating colour

For the bag:

-0.6m exterior fabric in medium weight cotton or cotton canvas fabric

-0.7m lining fabric. This can be any medium weight cotton

-6 inch zip for the interior pocket

-8 inch zip for the external pocket
