About

* An evening performance of folk music with musician Charlie Hues at Books on the Rise, Richmond *

Welcome to Books on the Rise's newest live music series, Folk Fridays! Join us for an evening of enchanting folk music from a skillful and emerging musician, Charlie Hues. Playing his newest and debut singles along with classic covers - it is sure to be an unforgettable performance from an up-and-coming musical artist on the scene.

Charlie Hues is a London born singer-songwriter who crafts intimate and confessional songs. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, the songs are expressions of deeply personal experiences and inner turmoils. Feelings of loneliness and isolation, of growth and rebirth. A combination of reality born from experiences lived, felt and understood. There is a tenderness and quality of both voice and lyric that reflects the human condition that we can all relate to at some point in our lives. Charlie's songs speak to the listener on many levels and each one can relate to the songs in their own way.

Charlie has over a decade of musical experience, having played in multiple bands before launching his career as a solo artist in the folk genre. Catch him at Books on the Rise for a one night show of guitar, vocals and immense talent. See you there!

Please note there will be tickets available on the door. Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis upon arrival. For reserved seating requests, or any other enquiries regarding the event, please contact us at: events@booksontherise.com
