A Festival of Phenomenal Females

About

Celebrate the remarkable talent of women in music with this flagship concert honouring female composers — under-recognised, under-appreciated, and underperformed.

Featuring the Solarek Piano Trio with friends and Twickenham Choral, this inspiring programme showcases works spanning centuries and styles, from classical to contemporary:

  • Fanny Mendelssohn – Piano Trio, 1st Movement

  • Florence Price – Piano Quintet

  • Kate Bush – Wuthering Heights (arranged for string quartet)

  • Debbie Wiseman – Wolf Hall Suite (premiere and special commission)

  • Roxanna Panufnik – Wild Musick (choral setting of verse by Alexander Pope)

  • Eleanor Daly – Apon Your Heart

Part of a wider March 2026 festival celebrating music by female composers, performed by local ensembles including Richmond OrchestraHampton Choral Society, and Twickenham Choral.
