Festive graphic reading: Carols For Hope, OneRichmond

About

Join your Richmond community for an evening of festive carols and music, readings from celebrity speakers, and delicious mince pies and mulled wine, all in aid of children facing a wide variety of challenges within our borough.

The concert will feature carols from multiple local choirs and readings delivered by celebrities such as Samantha Bond, Jill Baker, and David Horovitch. The atmosphere will be festive and family-friendly, with mince pies and mulled wine on arrival. It promises to be the perfect way to celebrate the start of the festive season whilst also doing something positive for your community.

Every donation puts power back into the hands of local residents, who understand our borough better than anyone else. Your funding will be used to support grassroots local charities making a big difference to people in need across our borough; decisions are steered by residents with lived experience and an in-depth understanding of local need and local impact.

Our winter campaign centres around children and young people facing a variety of challenges in our borough. With the highest levels of pay inequality in London, Richmond's most vulnerable children are at risk of getting left behind – latest statistics show increasing mental health concerns, widening gaps in academic attainment between higher and lower income students, increasing numbers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and more and more young people facing the pressures of being a young carer.

This winter, you have the power to make a lasting difference for young people struggling locally. By supporting OneRichmond at our Carols for Hope festive concert, you are safeguarding the future of our most vulnerable communities; on top of this, every penny donated will be match funded up to £10,000, doubling the impact of your contribution. This event is being supported by our Health Partner London Gynaecology and local charity Sponsorstars.
