Three hand bound books

About

In this wonderfully relaxing afternoon of bookbinding with professional bookbinder Mylyn McColl, you'll be introduced to a form of decorative stitch binding known as the criss cross long stitch.

During the class, you'll begin by creating a cover using decorative paper and then work out the pattern for the holes. Finally, you'll finish your book by attaching the sections together with a long stitch, using multiple coloured threads to create your gorgeous completed book.

At the end of the afternoon, you'll leave with a beautiful handmade book and the skills to make more!

The workshop is suitable for both beginners and also people with some prior knowledge of book binding.

All materials and use of tools are included, together with lots of tea, coffee and homemade cake.

The workshop will be taught by multi-award winning professional bookbinder and experienced teacher, Mylyn McColl.

"a really amazing workshop – fantastically taught and ended up with a beautiful handmade book which I love"

"lovely people. Great, warm atmosphere!"
