About

DIY Sound Production explores how rhythm, harmony and atmosphere can be created using sounds from the world around us. In this hands-on workshop, participants will use accessible tools such as smartphones, field recorders and laptops to learn the fundamentals of sound recording, audio editing and experimental music production through creative exploration. The workshop includes a field recording session alongside guided editing exercises, encouraging participants to transform everyday sounds into original compositions and sound pieces.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, the session supports experimentation, listening and creative risk-taking while developing practical skills in sound design and audio manipulation.
Materials Required: A laptop, phone or digital device to be used during the session.
