About

The Fireside Folktales Barnes Fringe Festival comes to Barnes on 23rd–24th May 2026, bringing a weekend of theatre, music, storytelling, workshops and discussion to venues around Barnes Pond.

Inspired by myths, folklore, fairy tales and classic literature, this brand new community-rooted fringe festival features performances for adults and families, live music, practical workshops, industry panels and opportunities for emerging artists.

The festival is supported by local partners including Richmond Library Service - with a free Festival Reading Nook open to all - Barnes Community Association and Arts Richmond.

Events take place across intimate venues including Barnes Methodist Church, Rose House and Barnes Green Centre.

Whether you love theatre, stories, music, creativity or discovering something new locally, there is something for all ages to enjoy.

Full programme and tickets available online. Ticket prices vary by event, from £5 children's storytelling sessions to £25 specialist workshops.
