A programme of the greatest trios for clarinet, violin and piano to honour the great ballet dancer Dame Ninette de Valois, founder of the Royal Ballet and Barnes resident. Featuring Khachaturian’s Armenian folk dances inspired trio, Stravinsky’s response to the timeless tale of the Runaway Soldier and the Devil, a most playful Suite by Milhaud, a Slip Gigue and ending with Bartok’s iconic Contrasts, commissioned by the King of Swing – Benny Goodman.
