About

Bring your broken items to The Fixery on Saturday 10 October and help us attempt to set a new world record for the most items fixed in one day across London.

The London Fixathon will bring the city's repair community together to set a record for most items fixed. Residents are invited to join the effort at The Fixery, Richmond's community repair and reuse hub, from 11am to 4pm at Grove Gardens Chapel.

Bring along electricals, textiles, or small household items that need a little care. The Fixery's skilled volunteers will help repair as many items as possible, giving everyday and treasured belongings a new lease of life while adding to London's record attempt.

There is no need to book, just drop in. Come earlier in the day to give our volunteers the best chance of looking at your item. The last repair job will be accepted at 3.30pm, or earlier if the event is very busy.

Choosing to repair rather than replace can reduce waste, save money and keep items in use for longer. Every item brought along will help show what Londoners can achieve when communities come together to share skills and make better use of what they already have.

The Fixery is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm at Grove Gardens Chapel. Visitors can bring items for repair, swap clothes, refill household cleaning products and enjoy refreshments at the on-site community café. All services will incur a small fee or 'pay as you feel' contribution via card payment only.

We are looking for more volunteers to help at The Fixery on a regular basis, particularly people who can repair small electrical items, textiles and household items.

Volunteer with us:
You can also get involved by welcoming visitors, supporting activities, or baking sweet treats for the café. Volunteers become part of a friendly community, with free coffee and a treat while helping out, as well as regular social get-togethers.

If you are interested in volunteering, register via The Fixery email thefixery@richmond.gov.uk.
