About

Barnes SW13 becomes the children's books capital of the UK when the London Children's Literature Festival returns on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June with over 100 fun family events, workshops and performances for young book fans.

National treasure, Michael Rosen, with book-rapping sensation MC Grammar, the million-selling author illustrator of the Tom Gates series, Liz Pichon, 'Horrible' historian Greg Jenner, legendary Gruffalo artist Axel Scheffler, superstar creator of Charlie and Lola, Lauren Child, and draw along genius Rob Biddulph are just a few of the big names on their way to Barnes.

They'll be joined by some famous faces including acclaimed actor Michael Sheen, Paddington star Hugh Bonneville, comedian Alexander Armstrong and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Russell Kane.

Children can get involved in creative writing, comics, chess, LEGO, live music, clay-mazing workshops with Aardman Animations, and there are lots of free things to do too around beautiful Barnes Pond.
