About

Our Community Growing Project is running a series of monthly growing workshops in Barnes.

Feb 21st - Getting started with growing
March 14th - Growing with nature
April 18th - Plants for free
May 16th - Growing in small spaces
June 20th - Weeds: friend or foe
July 18th - Natural pest control and fertilisers
Aug 15th - The wonderful world of herbs
Sept 19th - Composting: steps to success
Oct 10th - Pruning tips and techniques
Nov 21st - Fantastic fungi

All workshops will run on the 3rd Saturday of the month unless otherwise stated. The workshops will run from 10 – 11am, and you are welcome to stay afterwards to chat, look around the growing area and ask the workshop leader any questions. If you attend the training, you will also receive an emailed resource sheet afterwards with links to websites, videos and books you might want to use.

This workshop will take place in the polytunnel in our growing area at Vine Road Rec.
Please note, dogs will not be admitted at this event except guide dogs. All our events are dog free unless specifically mentioned in the event listing.
