About

Nature Journaling is using words, pictures and numbers to record your observations, questions, connections and explanations in a notebook. It is a fun and powerful practice which helps us slow down, pay attention, notice more and get curious about the beauty and wonder around us. You do not need to be an artist or a writer - there is no obligation to share your journal entries!

This event takes the form of a walk beginning at Vine Road Recreation Ground. Our Lifelong Learning Manager and walk leader, Paddy, will explain some of the principles of Nature Journaling, and share a short printed guide as we set off. Each month we will walk slowly with a destination in mind, but welcome distractions and unplanned stops. The walk will likely generate as many questions as answers! Towards the end we will gather and reflect, and anyone who would like to can share some of their thoughts and recordings.

Our January walk will head North toward Hammersmith Bridge via Barnes Common. There are 4 planned events in this series, with walks heading N, E, S, W.
