NT Live Screening: The Audience

About

Returning to cinemas for the first time in over a decade, Helen Mirren plays Queen Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan’s Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production, directed by Stephen Daldry.

For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II met weekly with each of her 12 prime ministers in a private audience. From Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron, these confidential meetings shaped decisions of state — and revealed the woman behind the crown.

Through these intimate encounters, we glimpse both the public figure and the private monarch, witnessing the moments that defined a reign.

Captured live from London’s West End in 2013, The Audience became one of the most-watched NT Live productions and went on to inspire Peter Morgan’s global Netflix phenomenon The Crown.

The bar will be open from 7pm, and you’re welcome to take your purchased drinks into the auditorium - perfect for a relaxed start to the evening.

A rare chance to experience a modern classic - back on the big screen at Hampton Hill Theatre.
