The summer art competition poster from The Poppy Factory

About

To celebrate 100 years of The Poppy Factory in Richmond, we're inviting you to create a piece of artwork inspired by a century of employment support for the Armed Forces community.

You might find inspiration in our history, our unique location, our people or our work today.

Whether you're a professional artist, hobbyist, student, or if you enjoy making art for fun, we'd love to see your interpretation of what The Poppy Factory means to you.

The competition is free to enter and open to all ages and abilities. Select artworks will be shown in our visitor centre in September and the winning entries in the adult and under-16 categories will be announced at the end of September, to remain on display at The Poppy Factory. All styles and mediums are welcome.

To enter, please send a photo of your completed artwork to visit@poppyfactory.org with your name, age, email address and phone number, by Monday 7 September, 2026.
