Tom Lehrer

About

Tom Lehrer is Teaching Math and Doesn't Want to Talk to You A new musical featuring the songs of Tom Lehrer.

In 1960, at the height of his fame, singer, songwriter, and satirist Tom Lehrer abruptly walked away from the spotlight. He spent the rest of his life teaching mathematics—leaving behind a legacy of sharp wit, dark humour, and unforgettable songs.

This acclaimed new musical delves into the mystery of Lehrer's sudden disappearance from public life, celebrating his unique genius through classics like Poisoning Pigeons in the Park and The Elements. Following a sell-out run at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in 2024, the show comes to OSO Arts Centre for a limited run.

"It is highly entertaining and utterly fascinating." - LondonTheatre1
"A glorious celebration of one of the brightest, wittiest and most principled satirists." - The Ham & High
