The London Wetland Centre is a 105 acre wildlife haven with scenic walkways set amongst the lakes, pools and meadows that are home to birds, bats, water voles, grass snakes, amphibians, dragonflies and moths. Unwind in this oasis in the heart of the capital – or let your kids run free in their own Explore, Discovery and Pond Zone adventure areas. Spot wildlife close-up from our hides and meet our collection of rare birds from around the world. Take a free guided walk with one of our wardens and then relax in our café over coffee or lunch. A great day out, whatever the weather.
The grounds have level access and hard-surfaced paths with tarmac on main routes (and compacted gravel on minor paths)

Public transport is available direct to the centre from Hammersmith bus station to the centre between 9.30am and 5pm (No 283 from Stand K)
Opening details
Summer opening time - Sun 29 March - Sat 24 October 2015: 9.30am-6pm (last admission 5pm).
Winter opening time - Sun 25 October 2015 - Sat 27 March 2016: 9.30am-5pm (last admission 4pm).
Early closing on 24 December (last admission 2pm, centre closes at 3pm). The summer route is closed during the winter.
Water's Edge Cafe: closes 5pm in winter and 6pm in summer. Last orders 4.30pm in winter and 5.30pm in summer
