Get inVOLEd - A Community Working to Bring Back Water Voles - Elliot Newton
Elliot will introduce us to one of the UK's most charismatic, though unfortunately fastest declining mammals, the water vole. He will tell us about the Get InVOLEd project which works to inspire, empower and mobilise local people to support the reintroduction of water voles to the Hogsmill catchment in South West London.
Elliot is the Biodiversity Officer for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. He was the co-founder of Citizen Zoo, Kingston Biodiversity Network and People for Pangolins. Elliot loves urban wildlife and rewilding, and is passionate about involving the whole of our local community in taking action to improve our local, national and global natural environment.
