About

One of Nietzsche's dominant contributions to modernity can be approached through the prism of a perceived crisis: the 'death' of God. But the reception of this idea and its context in Nietzsche's writings have often been misinterpreted in the popular imagination. This talk will aim to act as a corrective. The substance and framing of Nietzsche's diagnosis will allow us to draw resources from him concerning nihilism, the role of religion, the 'value' of our values, and what motivates our search for answers to the 'meaning' of life.
