Bus Tour

About

Climb aboard a classic Routemaster bus and travel back in time with us on a special tour of some of the hidden gems managed by Habitats & Heritage.
This iconic red bus, kindly provided by Lord Peter Hendy of Richmond Hill, will set off near Richmond Station, and you'll be in expert hands with our very own Heritage Projects Manager, Stephen Fielding, as your lively guide.
First stop: the marvellously mysterious Kilmorey Mausoleum, with its striking neo-Egyptian design and fascinating backstory. From there, we head into wartime Britain with a visit to the World War II Air Raid Shelter at St Leonard's Court in Sheen.
Then it's on to Mortlake to uncover the remarkable resting place of Sir Richard and Lady Burton; explorers, scholars and all-round extraordinary characters.
We'll round off the afternoon in style with tea in the beautiful gardens of historic Asgill House.
