Hands working on a creative session inside a blue circle, there is a blue tint to make it look like a blue moon

About

A once in a Blue Moon chance to try something different!

Join artist Abigail Hunt and members of Age UK Richmond for a session of creative making and writing, meeting new people, talking and sharing. The session will also include a visit to the All the Things exhibition.

All adults welcome. Come alone or bring a friend, explore ideas around play and imagination.

You can join in at whatever level you wish, whether it be sitting back and listening over a cuppa, playing a game or getting full on messy with the making tables.

Blue clothing welcomed!

A Blue Moon is the second full moon in a single calendar month, which only happens every two to three years because the lunar cycle closely matches the length of a month. As May 2026 begins with an early full moon, the second full moon on 31 May 2026 will be a Blue Moon. This is particularly significant, as there will be no further monthly Blue Moons until 31 December 2028, and no seasonal Blue Moon (two Blue Moons in one year) until 2037. Putting the phrase 'once in a blue moon' into perspective.
