About

A hectic night and morning of frenetic running up and down staircases, across three floors, six characters are immersed in their own individual problems. Roland, a self-made bucket magnate, is buying a dilapidated Victorian house, once a brothel, and trying to complete the deal. Meanwhile his wife is trying to leave him, and her brother is trying to patch things up with his ex-fiancée. Into this situation come a rookie solicitor and a wily builder. A series of farcical misunderstandings ensue amidst Ayckbourn's sharp social observation.

Returning to OSO after successful runs of Absent Friends, Codpieces and Handbagged, Claire Evans presents Alan Ayckbourn's Taking Steps, his rarely seen laugh-out-loud farce. The company will again comprise professional actors providing stand-out performances.
