A group enjoying The Poppy Factory's visitor centre

About

Explore the home of Remembrance in Richmond-upon-Thames this summer.

Discover the story of the people behind the poppies at the charity's visitor centre, which is offering a discovery session for small groups and individual visitors on Wednesday July 5.

Established in the aftermath of the First World War, The Poppy Factory quickly developed into a community of wounded and injured veterans and their families. See first-hand how veterans still make Royal and regimental wreaths by hand and have a go at making your own poppy and wreath.

Visitors can enjoy a delicious Factory Tea Break with fresh cakes made by in-house bakers 7Marvels. Younger visitors can enjoy a fun and educational exhibition treasure hunt.

Today, The Poppy Factory is a national charity that supports veterans with health conditions on their journey into all kinds of employment, helping hundreds of ex-Forces job seekers in England and Wales each year. By booking a visit, groups will support more veterans to rebuild their lives.
