Ham House

About

Step into a historical musical experience with The Morley Consort on the last day of Cabinets Unlocked this autumn at Ham House and Garden. The 4-piece group will perform 17th-centrury repertoire on historical instruments as you explore Ham’s rare cabinet collection.

The Morley Consort’s programme will include pieces by composers who, like the owners of Ham House, were firmly entrenched on the Royalist side of the English Civil War, as well as music from Playford’s English Dancing Master which pays direct tribute to Ham House and its famous Cherry Garden.

The performance will happen in the Long Gallery between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. During that time the performers will take breaks and there will be time to chat with audience members.
